My Graphic Design Evolution.
As I progressed through my MA, I found myself immersed in the expansive realm of graphic design, exploring the works of significant designers, artists, and various techniques. My journey led me to discover several art and design movements that further fuelled my curiosity, inspiring the study and development of various graphic visualisation techniques.
This natural progression of discoveries and practice-based research became a crucial chapter in my expedition. As it unfolded, a brief break from writing blogs allowed me to dive deeper into the world of creativity, develop my skills, and gain fresh perspectives which I wish to share in upcoming posts.
Reflection on the Journey:
In the pursuit of knowledge, I researched influential graphic designers, artists, and explored diverse techniques. The intriguing art and design movements left their impression on my understanding of visual aesthetics and creative expression.
As I reflect on this transformative journey, I am propelled forward into the exciting territories I plan to explore in upcoming posts
What’s Coming?
Building on my previous posts about the materialistic nature of music and its influence on listeners and even performers, I aim to delve into visualising music and musical elements using graphic design. Various topics, including visual aesthetics, harmony, Swiss design, psychedelic art, and typographic posters, will be explored in individual blog posts. I also plan to examine the methods of significant designers like Josef Müller-Brockmann and abstract artists like Piet Mondrian. Each blog post will be a chapter in exploration, inviting more questions, ideas, and thoughts.
Previously my blog was known as ‘Through my Wired Earphones’ and that space has been a canvas for my thoughts and discoveries. However, as my understanding of graphic design deepens, I feel compelled to embrace a new name that aligns with the evolving narrative of this creative journey. In renaming this blog, I am setting a course for a more intentional exploration of design principles, visual culture, graphic art and the connection of graphic design with other fields.
Closing Thoughts:
Welcome to ‘My Lucid Nap Ideas,’ a ‘curiosity-driven’ blog. The name reflects a state of mind where interesting ideas unfold, as I have experienced.
As I continue stirring my passion for design, I am curious and excited about the creative possibilities that lie ahead.
Stay inspired, stay creative!
